An update to Sci:Pro Calculator has been completed and is now available in the App Store. Version 1.2.5 is a replacement for the recent v1.2.4 release that adds a fix for a problem with iPhone devices running with zoomed display mode. This update includes all the changes that were part of the v1.2.4 release including bug fixes, some minor new features, and full 64-bit code support for optimal performance on the latest versions of iOS. The updated app requires iOS version 8.2 or later to run. Users with older versions of iOS can continue to use Sci:Pro Calculator v1.2.3 but will need to upgrade to a newer version of iOS before using current and future versions of the app. Sci:Pro Calculator continues to be available at no cost and without advertising. Lots of thanks to everyone who provided feedback, bug reports, and feature requests while this version was being developed—I appreciate all the support. Sorry it took so long to get this update out.

The release of iOS 8 this week has revealed a compatibility issue with the current version of Sci:Pro Calculator (v1.2.1). This bug causes many of the symbols used on buttons, toolbars, pending operation indicator, and in history view expressions to display improperly. This is considered a critical issue and a fix has already been submitted to the App Store which should be available as soon as Apple approves it. The new version (v1.2.2) is considered an interim release that is meant to fix a critical usability bug for existing users. A subsequent release is being worked on that will add better support for iOS 8 and the new iPhone 6/6+ devices as soon as possible. Sorry if this caused anyone trouble.

The latest version of Sci:Pro Calculator (v1.2.1) is now available in the App Store. This version adds support for selectable display modes, new programmer-mode functions, bug fixes, and some other features that have been requested by users. The biggest change for existing users of Sci:Pro Calculator has been to the Programmer Mode layout which needed to be modified slightly to accommodate new function keys such as a modulo operator. Scientific and Basic Mode key layouts have not changed but now support a user-selectable display format setting that can be configured to use either Standard, Scientific, or Engineering notations.
